NoBa – North Baltica Contemporary Art places the work of international contemporary textile & fibre artists into the newly opened Minimal Toronto showroom, where together life & style are harmonized through art & design.
‘Contemporary Textile Art x Contemporary Design’ is an exhibition that explores imagination through manual and digital processes with tactile materials that integrate technology with nature. Textile art blurs boundaries of art, craft and design, combining artistic vision with technical skill and fine material engineering. Visitors are able to experience this innovative artistic practice and envision how these pieces find a home in interior spaces.
During the DesignTO festival, this dynamic exhibition will create a platform on Thursday, January 29th, “TalkShow-room”, where designers, artists and industry leaders will be asked about their work, craft and experience in their professional field, live in the Minimal Toronto showroom.
“TalkShow-room” is a format where the visiting audience will step into the live conversation of how contemporary textiles, art and design are creating unique new living concepts.
